FYI, I contacted Good-Win, who spoke w/ Ohlins USA, and they are re-working the FD models. The HA currently offered in the US will most likely be replaced with a version of the DFV, but nothing is available right now.

You could probably still score a set from Japan, either DFV or the nicer remote resovoir units. The DFV use 11/11 rates, and the Upgrade units are 14/14. Neither are cheap directly from Japan.

FWIW, I'd run a rubber boot/gaiter to keep the rods protected from flying debris.

I actually got those (with remote reservoir), I'll post pics later...sitting in my garage still in the box. They were able to get me 10/8 rates.

No wonder they were "on sale" if there might be another model coming out. Pretty neat to see new products for an aging car. Did they say what they were doing?

If you want the best custom built damper spec, you should be looking at Penske Racing Shocks. I can help you with that.
