I have 3 piece wheels they keep on leaking on me, i have spent more money removing the tires and putting them back on, when i could of gottenb them welded shut.

Does anyone know a place who will do this for me.

 

anywhere that tig welds im sure..
isnt there some kinda sealant that can be put in there?

 

yeah 100% silicone, i dont know whats going on, when i got the wheels they all leaked i rebuilt them all and now 1 leaks completely and the other has a slow leak.

Its very frustrating when you have expensive wheels leaking and cheap china knock offs are working like a charm.

I havent even gotten into boost yet, i wonder whats going to happen when i hit it hard for the first time?

 

you'll probably blow the welds on your intake manifold.

what wheels are they, i wouldnt weld them, especially when they're nice, call a wheel shop and ask what silicone to seal them with, and the proper method.

 

How did you assemble the pieces??? did you put silicone between each piece or did you put them together then put a bead around the seam???

 

i put the silicone in between each piece and then i use the cross patern when i tighten them

i am going to clean up the silicone once more and try dabbing the silicone in the grooves of the wheels , hopefully it will work

 

ahhhhh, that is your problem... you want to assemble the wheel pieces first... then put a bead of silicone around the seam

yeah... thats the way I sealed my wheels and they haven't leaked in over 2 years

I scraped all the old crap off with a scotch bright pad then used some brake clean and then a little soap and water on the area where I was putting silicone... then let the silicone set/cure for 24 hours

Use both said Methods. Then watch it not leak xD

 

if they are expensive 3 piece wheels they shouldn't be leaking like that. sorry to hear your wheels are causing problems. hope everything works out.
