Hydraulic E-Brake?

Hydraulic E-Brake?
I've read up on hydraulic e-brakes and it seems as though they're not as efficient as stock e-brakes if your car is just a DD. I was just curious if anyone is running a hydraulic e-brake, and any thoughts about them.

There's pretty much no reason to have them on a DD. I've only seen it once, and the guy did it because he had a rear BBK that couldn't use the stock ebrake. Never saw how it was actually set up though.

Maybe you could run some version of a MICRO-LOCK system? That would operate all four corners through the existing lines. They use them on larger trucks and off-road vehicles, but I think they're a little pricey. I'm also not certain of the effects of long term use/engagement.

Here's a product sheet: http://mico.com/products/images/37_docfile.pdf
Here's a site that has some for sale, though I don't know if any of these are appropriate for an FD http://www.awdirect.com/default2.asp...TN&CID=AWGLVTN

Mico also makes the same pump without the lever. its cable activated so you can still use the oem handbrake (interior). As for the 4channel ABS (96+) Mico also makes a dual channel cable activated pump
