HRE 546, 547 or Amemiya's?
I'm trying to make my final decision for wheels for my FD's reconstruction/9th birthday.
Out of these what do you all think?
HRE 546s
HRE 547s
RE Amemiya's
All 18". My car's red...
Thanks for any input here...the prices are close enough ($4k vs $4.8k, the RE's being cheaper and also about 4 lbs avg lighter).

Sorry Mr. Amemiya.
But you don't use it.
You use Racing Hart or Enkei.

Most aftermarket rims may look great alone but look unnatural on most cars 90% of the time. Fikse, Volk are two of the exceptions I see on Rx-7's but they don't seem that awesome.
I mean the Amem's look good, they are light and the size is is right. They also seem more RX-7 native at least in image or intent. They fit in (something I worry about they 546's which are great but maybe just too glitsy).
Are you saying they are not good wheels? If so why? Other than that no one uses them (they are expensive and no one uses HRE 546ss on a FD that I have ever seen either).

Their wheels don't sell well any more in Japan.

If only I spoke japanese he'd be hearing from me all the time..
I like the fact that RE Amemiya is a wide product line from wheels to tow hooks to totally redone rotary engines. If you had enough money you could send your whole car to him and have him redo it.
I love RE Amemiya wheels if for nothing else then for their looks. You don't have to worry about seeing them on a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda anywhere. I remember seeing a video of that silver FD at sevenstock with white RE Amemiya wheels, that was sweet. If only they weren't $600.00 a wheel though...

I went with the Amemiya's. They were cheaper, more RX-7 native, and lighter and arguably better looking. Plus I don't have to wait 12 weeks for them (at least in theory).
I'll post pictures when the car is done. Thanks for the opinions.
