How wide are the springs on a GSL-SE? Can I use 5" wide springs all around?
Okay, in the future, I'll be looking to do something with my suspension. What it is, it is a secret. However, I'm wondering how wide the springs are on my 1985 GSL-SE.
I went out with a tape measure to my car and did the best I could by measuring them. From what I found, the fronts are about 5 1/2" wide, and the rears are 4 1/4" wide. The fronts are a perfect width for what I'm looking for. I'm looking at something to be 5" wide.
Now, I visited my local rotary shop and saw on up the lift, a 1st Gen. In the rear were Racing Beat springs and they definitely looked about 5".
How wide are the springs and can I go 5" wide in the back without frame/body modifications?
