High Spring Rates with GAB Super Rs

I've been told that the GAB Super R shocks are only capable of dampening a spring rate up to about 600-650 lb/in. I am currently running the Super Rs with 500/400 lb/in spring rates. Since I've gone to 17"x10" rims running 275s on all four corners, my front tires rub the fender during hard cornering. I've been thinking about going with spring rates a little stiffer to keep my suspension from bottoming out.

Has anyone run these shocks with spring rates of 700/500 or higher? If so how did the Super Rs perform? I am trying to set the car up for track use, so i'm not that concerned about the hard street driving that one could expect from the higher spring rates. I will eventually be looking into a better set of shocks such as the JRZs or Penske, but for now I will be keeping my Super Rs and trying to get the most out of them.
