Question Here we go again....Looking for rims 17" or 18"?

I'm shopping for rims for my Montego Blue FD. Would bronze or gun metal look ok on the car? I like the SSR GT1, Blitz Technospeed Z1, and Volk Racing TE37 and Challenege rims. Not a big fan or many other styles.

What are the perfect sizes for the FD? My car is lowered 1" in the front and 1.6" in the rear.

check out the Fiske/volk thread...

I am in your boat my man. I have a montego blue FD and I am totally lost on color of rims.

Bronze would look good but too much like a subaru?? I'm not sure....

White looks great but you better like to clean your rims alot!

Black....don't know

gunmetal....I like esp if it has a chrome lip

anyway check out the other thread going...

Something with a gunmetal center and a polished lip will look awesome on the blue. I have seen this combo on a 10am miata and it looked very very good. They were the SSR Competition wheels. The blue on the FD is a little darker but it shouls still look good.

I agree, the gunmetal with a contrasting lip, anodized/polished/machined, whatever it may be, will look really good.

I have a set of SSR Competitions in a 17,8.5 and 17,9.5 in stock that I will blow away as I had ordered them for a customer, but he had already purchased a set, so I'm stuck with them and the bill. If you're interested e-mail me at autornd@hotmail.com. You can get wholesale on this. Still a six spoke, like the TE's, but a deeper lip and it's machined w/clearcoat. I love the finish on this rim because the face of it looks anodized, shimmers.

I'm sure you've seen it along with the GT1's, I just put a set on one of my cars 18", at tirerack.com. But you haven't listed it as a potential wheel, so it was worth a shot.

I'm doing the volk thing here as well, so if that's an option let me know too. But the comps would be one hell of a deal and just as light as the volks, maybe .5 lb. heavier.

Good luck, Rishie
