H&R spring problems

I just recently installed a new set of H&R springs on my stock R1 shocks. the install went nice and smooth and the car rides good, but the right rear corner sits about 1/4 inch higher than the left. the fronts are about even with the fender and the left rear has a very slight gap, but the right rear has a noticable amount of gap. i double checked all the bolts and whatnot. anyone know what could cause this? it's really irritating having a crooked car

Nah, that's normal, especially if you've replaced that heavy stock muffler with a lightweight Racing Beat or M2 dual tip I keep a full-size spare (9 x 17, 255/40-17) in the back, so mine is not as noticeable.

so do u think on pretty much any car if you lowered it with performance springs, it would kinda be not level?

Was it level before you lowered it? Most cars aren't. Corner balancing does not yield a car with equal fender gaps, either, in most cases. Verdict: don't worry about it.

it looked to be more level before i lowered it. i'm mostly concerned with the way it looks, but does that not effect handling in some really bad ways? i haven't gotten to throw it around some hard corners yet, but i would think it would kind of hinder performance

If it makes you feel any better, mine is off too and I'm running stock springs on Konis. Its not that big of a deal. If it really bothers you, get a set of Konis with ajustable spring perches and install to fit your level of obsession

There are a couple of threads about this issue that I found when researching mine. I'm still trying to figure out other peoples ride height measurements so I can compare....

yea it was level before the car was lowered, btw its an 01 ws6. I lowered it with hotchkis springs (-1.25" ) and the rear passenger was a little off level.

for the low price of 3x what you paid for the H&R's you'd get coilovers. Relax, it's just .25", and in the end, are you really doing anything with this car that a quarter inch is going to make that huge of a difference? Just park your car on an incline or something and you won't notice

get someone who weighs the same as you to sit in your car.

Is it level then? that is the most important part.
