Granny's speed shop 8.8" rear end with rotary

Has anyone here used a granny's 8.8 rear end with a rotary motor?
I have a 85 GS that I want to either keep stock or put a turbo miata motor in. But I really want a upgrade in rear end, so I am considering the 8.8. Concern is, will it even work with the placement of everything on a mazda motor? I know it's meant for a V8 so I don't even know if it will bolt up with a mazda tranny without serious modification. Anyone that knows anything on this subject please reply. I can't find anything on this.

It will work, just need a custom drive shaft, but unless you are looking to make more than 400hp I wouldn't bother. Just get a GSLSE rear end is direct bolt on.

Yeah it's a direct bolt in. Hoping to get a 5 lug system though.
Won't be making 400 right now. But in te future I will be making close. And pounding on it allot.
