From the pics they looked narrower than what I have. Hopefully I'll have the car done within the next two weeks.

are you guys planning on running the plastic wheel inserts? If so, will they be modded/cut to make the tires fit?

I installed the inserts, but not sure if they are needed. What do they do exactly? Looks like they are supposed to center the wheel on the hub.

yup, those are just to center to wheel to the hub. there's some nice polycarbonate ones on ebay for real cheap. i was thinking about picking them up, but i've been told that sometimes the heat from brakes can cause them to warp or melt

Hey guys I am also getting these wheels for my FD in 18X9 up front and 18X10 in the rear. I was hoping to run a 265/35/18 up front and a 285/30/18 out back as these are the only 2 sizes I can get in the Yokohama 048 Advans. Will the 265's fit up front with some fender rolling? I will be running the GC coilovers with the Gab R's for the time being, and then probably switching to Ohlins. Thanks guys.

Brett.

A 265/35 will probably have too tall of a sidewall.

Not really. P-Zero Asymmetrico 265/35-18s are 25 inches in overall diameter--if you believe what Tire Rack posts on their spec sheets for each tire size...

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Using this link and checking Tirerack it looks like the 265/35/18 is 25.3 inches tall and the 255/35/18 is 25 inches tall. The Advans are 25.2 inches tall in 265 and 24.8 inches tall in the 285 size. They may fit after all.

Brett.

255/35-18 works out to 25 inches, arithmetically.

wOw nice wheels dude. I've been thinking of getting some also. You know if they come in bronze, cause I always loved the contrast between blue cars and gold wheels. 'Ihor' <---- Is that Russian?
