http://www.mazdaformance.com/ might have a good deal on the part from Mazda.

I bought one at the local auto parts store. After carefully explaining several times that I would be replacing the master cylinder in my RX-7 with a part from a 929, the counter person assured me that returning the RX-7 master cylinder for the core would be no problem. When I actually brought my RX-7 master cylinder in to collect the core charge, they wouldn't take it. *******.

mazdaformance is around 70 for the part and a 50 core charge (all US funds)

a brand new genuwine mazda is 425 cdn + tax.
