...preferably H rated. Going with Imagine Konigs on my FC. Daily driven emphasizing handling and good tire life wear. I'm thinking of going with Dunlop SP Sport 9000 (only combo I can find) What do you think? Anyone can suggest a tire setup with my rim setup.

215/40/17 and 245/35/18 or

215/45/17 and 245/40/17 would look the best for this combination and the respective wheel widths you have chosen

My apoligies...I forgot to post my desired wheel sizes.

Fronts: 215/45/17 - Rears: 245/35/18

Hey Rishie, you proposed this setup a short time ago. Now I'm a bit confused.

With the above, I am willing to go slightly narrower on the rears so I can find a matching make for all 4 tires...Maybe 235's. Or should I stick with these?

Here you go:

This is where my previous recommendation had a flaw. What you'll want is to have the sidewall height remain the same front to rear on the tires. This way the front tire doesn't look "phatter or taller" than the rear.

Essentially you will have a overall diameter difference of an inch from the front to rear.

just trust me. lol.

so I had a typo also. This is what you want to do. determine what profile you want to do in the front and based on that plug it into this formula and you'll know what rear size to run. Just trust me please. it will look so sick. And i really want to see it cause I've always had this idea in mind if I ever did get these wheels for my FC.

215/45/17 front, then 245/40/18 rear

215/40/17 front, then 245/35/18 rear

don't worry about the difference in diameters. Let me know what suspension you have and I'll have a solution for you to acheive the lowering rake needed to make this appropriate. If a standard strut and spring combo then Racing Beat offers upper strut mounts that will lower the front only about .75". that's all you need.

Peace, Rishie

Do you know what the offset is on the wheels? Cause you can go 225/40/17 and 255/35/18. That will look real nice and give you a good feel on the road

But you'll have to go with Nitto NT555 as they are the only ones producing that front size. That is the setup i currently use.

From personal experience I did not like the 255 on a 8.5" wheel. Just didn't look right. When I put 245 it even looked wider.

the combos indicated above are so there will be a wealth of tire brands to choose from.

Hey Rishie, thanks for the reply.

As for suspension, I have B&G Lowering Springs that have dropped my car 1.5". For the suggested 215/45/17 front, then 245/40/18 rear, does that look feasible over the other combo you suggested? I want a slightly higher height on the tires. Will It rub, considering It's dropped 1.5"?

What types of tires do you recommend?

Again, my offset Is 40 for the fronts and 38 for the rears.

As for the tires, I am likely to go with either 3:

Goodyear F1 GS-D3
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
Michellin Pilot Sport

You should not rub even with the 45 series tire up front. You will be good in the front and rear.

Peace, rishie

I'm off to LA returning on Tuesday.

I've decided to stay with 17x7's all around with an offset of 40. I trust your proposed set up will look sick, I really do. Howvever, I feel the 17's are more practical and knowing the 7 won't be around forever, I want to know I could transfer the konigs from my car to another.

I've decided, for sure now, that I'm going with the Konig Imagines and the Bridgestone Potenza s-03 but what would you suggest for a final set up emphasizing 17's all around? 215/45/17?

Thanks Rishie.
