I'm looking to buy an 88 rx7 but would like to learn a bit more first. The one I'm looking at has some problems in the front end, it grinds pretty loud, what is likely to be the problem and how expensive is it to fix. Forgive me, I don't know a lot about these cars yet.
Anything else to look for before I buy?

sounds like the brakes are metal to metal...new rotors, pads ...shop would probably charge 500-600 with all new parts or do it yourself for about 200
