Fix Bent Rims? or replace them?

I've got two bent wheels that I need to do something about. Is it better to have mine straightened? Or buy two rims from somebody on the board or e-bay?

If they are an older style and not a ex wheel in the first place they it might be cheaper to get them from ebay or anouther person. If they are nicer more ex ones the deff repair them.

It's around $115 here to get one stripped, fixed, and refinished. Depends on the price of the rims whether it's worth it or not.

Depends on if you can find OEM replacement on the net. They usually go for $100 so maybe a replacement pair is better.

Personally, I would upgrade to a new set of 17 or 18".

Nah, I love the stock wheels. Don't have the money for wheels/tires anyway.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm gonna talk to my tire shop and see how much it's gonna be to fix them. Would they fix the curb rash on the lip of the rim too? If not I may just buy a pair of wheels.

I would think that because these are high performance wheels - lightweight. There propably was some special manufacturing method used. I would be sure first that these wheels can be fixed without weakening them.

If the 'fix' has any chance of hurting the wheels. It might be more cost effective to just buy replacements.

Yep, aluminum is one of those metals that loses some of its integrity when bent out of shape. If it was me, I would look in the Classifieds and buy some clean, straight, used wheels. They go for about ~$100 each, and that's probably what it would cost to try and repair them too. And try to find factory "reinforced" rims:
