Falken RT615.

They own all and they're cheaper than most. Best prices I've found were from Vulcantire.com

One more shootout FYI

I've been running TOYO T1R tires on my T2 for the past year and really like them. On my Vert.... when I got the car it had WNYSTAR tires which were for the most part new. I since found out the are from.... Pep Boys hah! I've run the **** out of these tires for two years and can't wear 'em out. They've worn great, handle pretty good.... go figure.

Just hit Tire Rack or such places and compare specs and prices. Lots of good tires out there, just depends on what ya got for cash.

BFGoodrich g-Force Sport's, some of the highest rated tires on tire rack for their class. Only around $95 each. Nice tread look and sidewall. They have around an 8/10 wet rating for both Hydroplane Resist and for Traction. Dry rating of near 9/10 for Cornering Stability, Traction and Response.

I'm running these tires on my car, and they are absolutely amazing. They look great and they grip like no other. I've never had any problems driving in the rain, either.

I'm running Yokohama AVS ES100's on my car. I upgraded from the previous el-cheapo $35\tires that were on it when I bought the car.

They're definitely a big step up but they're not the ones I would have picked had I done my research.

If you're interested I have a full set of Motegi wheels with g-force sports that I took off when I got a smoking deal on a set of 17s. They only saw about 4k miles so they're practically brand new.

$420 shipped and they're yours. Great street tire, but not quite as track worthy as the Falken I mentioned. (Then again they should be good for 40k miles not the 8-10k the Falken's might see)

Said something derogatory about someone else's recommendation. Thought better of it and deleted the post.

I had trouble wearing out my Proxes as well

Didn't Kumho just come out with a new tire? I can't remember the name but I heard they last even longer than the Proxes do...

-BF Goodrich's G-Force sport tires, and I was really impressed with the quality and low road noise levels of the tires.
-Now I have Yokohama ES-100's and I'm VERY happy with the break away characteristics during autocross, but they tend to be much more noisy in comparison, and tend to follow imperfections in the road much more.

-I've also used the Toyo Proxis 4, and the FZ-4... The FZ-4 wasnt too good during wet weather. The Proxis 4 did quite well, and I've never had an issue with them.

okay... ive been lookin at wheels n this site seems pretty good with price, wheel/tire/delivery package.... but check out the choice of tires...

http://www.wheelsnext.com/default.cf...RCHSTRING=tire

(theres 2 pages)

considering traction and durability (minimum wear), which is the best choice?

what size do you want? I found a good deal on a set of Falken Xiex at sears a few months back. $59 a tire. $270 with tax i think... very good tire. grip the road very well, minimal road noise, and look good.

I agree... they're great.

I got mine on sale at Tire Rack for about 90 each, including installation and balance at Walmart.

Great dry and wet grip for a cheap street tire.

Falken Ziex ZE 512. Very cheap at edgeracing.com.
Just bought a set or 215/45r17 for the front and 235/45r17 for the rear on new Enkei wheels.
REALLY cheap. Very nice handling (though my car is stock; don't know about yours)
