Federal 595RS-RR, how wide are they actually?

I know r-comp tires always run a little wide, but I can't get a definitive answer from my research on the true width of the 595RS-RR. I'm planning on purchasing these tires, but I'm worried I might have trouble fitting 255s on the front (FD).
Thanks!

I'd be more concerned about the width of the wheels more so than the tire.

I ordered the tires today in 255/40/17. The published width is 263mm so if it's even in that ballpark I should be fine. I'm mounting on a 9.5" wheel and will report the results.

I run these at 255/35/18 with the +45 offset at front on Advan GT 9.5”
Ride height @ 25” and no rubbing.

when looking at tires into relation of how they will fit/look on the wheel, you also want to look at the tread width. The 255/40/17 595 rs-rr tread width is listed at 9.3”. They are listed at 25” tall so I think you will be ok, just very slightly less than square on a 9.5” which is perfectly fine.

Awesome. Thanks for the input. I asked the question because a Google search on these brings up lots of questions with some people stating that they run 1-2 sizes wider than an average tire...

As far as you know, are your fenders rolled?

I received the tires and measured them so I will post this for reference. The section width is 267mm which is just slightly more than the width Federal publishes (263mm). I don't think I will have any fitment issues with this tire and it certainly is not as oversized as many have posted on other forums.

tb - how are you liking these? Also looking at 255/40 on a 17x9.5 square setup. Are your front fenders rolled? Do you use these for street only? if you have a pic that would be great

Unfortunately I don't have much to report. My car is in pieces and I haven't driven on these yet. I plan on doing a light roll as it looks like I might need it (some offsets might get away without). You can definitely go wider in the rear. I'm going to run 275 in the rear (Unfortunately these don't come in that width). This is a mostly street setup for me.

Gotcha, sorry to hear but thanks for the response. I'm +38, prepared to roll if necessary. If I end up going this route will report back for all
