They are cheap cause they are knock-off's made in the Phillipines.
Biggest size they list is a 16" x 8" +48, which is basically the same size as stock.

Your FD deserves better.
You want the original?
Get a set of Desmond EVO Regamasters.

dont get me wrong, i would rather have regamasters...

but.. they do maky slipstream's in 17's now and some decent widths and offsets..

i mean, if your on a budget, and you want something relatively inexpensive, you cant go wrong IMO...

most of us RX7 owners are broke or have little cash leftover for more important things anyway(or at least most of the ones i know)

honestly, i dont see how you could go wrong.. theyre cheap and light, and they make a decent size now... best of luck to you.

EDIT: also keep in mind that im younger than you and i have different view than you on certain things...just so you know where i'm coming from.

To be dead serious...if you can't afford a ~$1,000 set of used JDM wheels, you shouldn't be owning an FD.

If you don't understand what this means, you're welcome to peruse the 3rd gen section on how expensive it is to maintain, upkeep, and upgrade your FD.

Spoon rims only come in 5 lug pattern which only fit the acura type r and the jdm civic's and integras. The Slipstreams are available in 4 lug so in a way they are a knock off but also a solution for the people that want that same design with a 4 lug civic. I think if I had a fd I would get some better rims though, don't get me wrong I don't think their is anything wrong with rotas I have a set on my civic but I just don't think they are right for a fd. But if you like them get them you never know they might end up looking real good on one.

I have 16 x 8 slipstreams on my 93 gsx. They weigh ~13lbs and are dirt cheap. I doubt they would look very good on an fd, yes the fd deserves a better looking wheel!

I plan on getting slipstreams or FN01RC's for my FD as well. I could care less if they are knock offs or not. In fact I didn't know they were till this thread. I have used Rotas before on a sube and they are great for the price and weight. They do make slipstreams in a 17x8.5 width. Still would like to see a pick. Should look good in bronze with a black FD.

Much rather see slipstreams than chromies or oversized wheels on an FD.

You're correct...nothing wrong with that.
I have a problem with companies making knock-off designs.

Actually they also make a 17" by up to 8.5 " with a +50 offset...

I've seen Slipstream wheels on an FD, they look good in my opinion on a slammed FD. I can't find a picture again, but i believe it was white with Bronze wheels.

To be dead serious, regamaster evos are *NO* where near 1000 dollars for a set. And they aren't "JDM", they are forged in russia. Try looking up the price for regamasters lately? They are discontinued.

Their website is actualy http://www.rotawheel.com/
you think it is bad using the website, try placing orders with them... my last pallet of wheels came in last week and it took over a month for them to get it right on the pro-forma.
I have never had anyone order Slips for an FD. Mainly Honda or DSM guys get them. I have one set here in Royal Silver that I think would look nice on an FD though... (wrong bolt pattern)

^true, if they made them wider than 8.5 I would get a set for the track.

I'm not talking new.
I'm talking "used imported".
I've seen them on eBay for ~$1,000 a set.
I know a guy who just bought a set for like $800.

I would never pay for retail for Japan rims - never had, never will.

My Panasport C5C's are $900 EACH full retail!
I bought them for $1300 with tires - used JDM import.
Shout out to Zroc for the deal!

No matter what, there will always be people who think it's just wrong to buy replica's of things, and then there will be people who think its a good way to get what they need for a lesser price. Just agree to disagree.

Note: if they made 17x9 slipstreams, I would probably get some :P
