FD front wheel fitment ?
Will a 17" x 9.5" ET40 offset fit the front of an FD? I've read the excel file documenting what fit and what doesn't but it is very specific on sizes and doesn't address different backspacing at different wheel widths.
If this 9.5" wide wheel does fit what is the proper size tire recommended?

I will be running all stock suspension. What do you mean "make it work"? Spacers? Adaptors? Cutting?
To add to my first question about the wheels fitting the front what if i wanted to run all four that size, front and rear? What would be the best tire size choices front and rear with the widest possible rear tire?

With the stock suspension, you could probably get away with that fitment up front with 245/40 17 tires, although rolling the fenders would be a very good idea. The rear will work fine with 265/40 17s.

fwiw - Friend of mine rubbed with 17x9 +40 and 255/40/17 tires and lowered ride height. I don't rub with +45 everything ele being the same.
By make it work, I think people are referring to rolling the fender lips, running narrower tires, not lowering the car etc.
17x9 +45s work with 255/40/17 tires has been proven to work on both stock and lowered ride heights. At that size rim, you can also run the 265 rear tire Rynberg mentioned. I think you can run 275s also with that size but 275s are taller and will affect gearing slightly. I don't have any experience with other fitments.
