Another -- will it fit. FD.

I hate to ask, and I'll probably get a "search". I did, but theres so much conflicting info.

I have a line on a set of wheels -- 18x9J+38 and 18x10+38

I have coilovers and currently have the same wheels on but 17x8+35 and 17x9+35.

If they will fit, what size tires should I go with?

IIRC, 285/30-18 is a shorter tire than 275/40-17

since you have a basis for comparison you can measure the clearance yourself.

front 8+35 to 9+38
you will lose 16mm inner clearance
the wheel will extend further 10mm

rear 9+35 to 10+38
same
you will lose 16mm inner clearance
the wheel will extend further 10mm

get out there and measure it
don't forget to keep the tire in mind when you check clearance.

will clear the outer no problem.
the inner should clear, if it doesnt you can always slap a little spacer on there.

i run 18x9 +43 and 18x10 +43 with 255/35 and 285/30 and i need to roll the fenders front and rear. you probably COULD pull off those offsets but you'll have to roll the fenders and stretch like a 225-245 on the front and a 255-265 on the rear... not ideal, but possible if you reallllly want to have the wheels.

WRONG. And the "inner" will clear by a mile.....great advice there.

Neo, you will most definitely need to roll fenders front and rear to run proper tires. You should be able to run a 285/30 out back, but even with the front roll, you may want to run a 245/35 instead of a 255/35 for a hair more clearance. I'm assuming the car is lowered?

Yeah, my car is lowered.

I'm going to pass on these wheels, thanks guys.

I'm going to be really picky on my next set of wheels.. there are so many tempting ones but selection/offsets are a little odd since most places are catering towards the Nissan crowd nowadays.

Thanks for your insight guys.

You'll need to roll fendrs front (a given), and rear. I'm running a 10 +42 w/ 275/35, and it's TIGHT to the outside with an unrolled fender.
