fd brakes

My FD brakes are getting a bit tired. I dont really want to spend thousands on a AP kit. What is the next best thing. Can i get larger disc's and space the caliper ?

Any how i need some advise before parting with my cash

What do you mean by "tired"?

What do you use your car for, track, street, autox, drag racing? You'll need to provide some more information so someone can make suggestions.

You just have the wrong pads on there for the track. Unfortunately, there really is no compromise when using the stock calipers. You either have track pads or street pads. Street pads will fade on the track, and track pads will never really get warm enough to grab on the street.

My recommendation is to get some SS brake lines, some new brake fluid like Super Blue ATE (or Gold), then get a set of track pads and street pads. In the least, just get a good set of street pads and only a Front set of track pads. Depending on the track pad, you can easily (and in some cases its better) get away with a track pad on the front and upgraded street pads on the rear.

As for track pads, a lot of USA guys like the N-Tech Lapping Day and Competition pads on the FD. Carbotech XP11's are also a good track pad.

Solid or slotted. IMO, just get solid.
