Killjoy- lower that thing some more! inch up front, 1.5" in back, and it would look quite a bit better IMO. Still looks good though.

It's actually about 1.5 drop from stock. I can't go very low living in Houston (suck *** roads), unless I want body damage. I have a front lip for it...and I have considered a bodykit though.

That is completely understandable, I live in Nebraska, some of the worst roads I have seen.

Body kit? j/k

I think 17s are about perfect. I have run 18s before with no fitment issues and they did look sweet. I run 16s on my FC (in sig) and am fairly happy with them but still regret not getting 17s.

Take a look at my website photo gallery for hundreds of FC pics of all types. I have no info on any of them. Sorry for the small pics; my web designer saw fit to make all the pics really little for load times.

http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen/gallery.html

Also take a look at my old rx7s, they ran 18s as well.

see,i think 18s look good on an fc to a certain extent (really depends on the wheel and ride height) but from a driveability standpoint, they SUCK!! you have to run super low profile tires, whick causes you to have a very high risk of damaging the rims if you hit just a small pothole going too fast. not to mention how much heavier 18s are!. i have 18s on my fd and they fit it perfectly, but the fc i keep a set of vert wheels because they only weigh 11 pounds!!! the downside to vert wheels is with my setup they have some serious traction problems, but at this point it's kinda fun. one of these days ill put some 17s on it.

in the end (imo) 18s are really only good on an fc if it is a show car.

18's with wide body

My car is still in the body shop. Been there for two years now. The shop quoted me a price that was too cheap not to have them do the work. He also said they could do it in two weeks, but I knew that was about impossible. Should be finished up in about a month. I'll post some pics of the finished ride. The black FC3S shown previously was mine before the body work started (see previous postings by my brother -> mfp10thann).

18 with a slight tuck looks pretty nice

18 on mild drop height looks like a jeep wrangler

18's are fine on an FC .... AS LONG AS YOU DONT RUN FAT SIDEWALL TIRES!
Rishies FCs are perfect examples of why they can fit well on an FC with a low profile tire. some widths on an 18" tire have a lower overall tire diameter than in 17" because of shorter sidewalls. mustang/camaro use much taller tires and they can look really stupid on an FC, like 4x4 or innertube style = lame.
case in point... my FC on 17" wheels with 275 and 285 tires was almost goofy with tires at 26" o.d., but now with 18" 285/295 in 30 series sidewalls yields a 25" o.d. so the car is a half inch lower to the ground and also a half inch more clearance to the top of the inner fender.

here's my wide FC on 18" ssr sp1s (sorry the paint blows)-

18x11 and 18x12 shown here.
Track wheels tires will be even wider.
