FC Budget Suspension Choice
I own a N/A FC and i need new suspension, problem is i don't have a whole lot of money to spend. What would be my best bet for street suspension that isn't too bad. My budget is about $700

You should start out with a good set of shocks and if you can afford it get some springs or anti-roll bars. You could also get some ground control coilovers, but it's not reccomended on stock shocks and you'll be over budget if you get good new shocks and these. Other things to consider are strut bars for the front and back, a lower arm bar for the front, polyeurethane bushings and rear steer eliminator bushings and that'll about do you for a street suspension. In the future you could get coilovers with pillow ***** and camber plates along with something to adjust the rear camber. Beyond that there's not alot else to do other than get it set up just right.

I would recommend shocks first, if you're still running on the originals they're probably pretty worn out now, some good shocks will really wake the car up and make it feel like it should. On that kind of budget I wouldn't be looking at coilovers really. The toe eliminator bushings are cheap and will make the car a lot more predictable at the limits, but they're a big PITA to install.
I got the KYB AGX adjustables, a very good bargain.

I'd recommend new bushings (either stock or pu) first. Then go with new shocks. Shocks will probably take the most out of your budget. After this, you should still have enough money to spend on a good, matching set of springs to accompany whichever shocks you got.
From here, you can add different chassis braces to help stiffen the 15-20 year old chassis as well as a set of anti-roll bars from the same manufacturer as your springs.
But the important thing is to start with good, fresh bushings as it gives you a better base to begin on.
*edit: I just saw that you're in Australia. If you're talking AU$700, you don't have as much room to work with, but I'd still start with bushings and work from there.

Thanks for the feedback, the price is in USD. How much would budget coilovers be? I can increase my budget if it is neccesary, i'm just looking for something that will drastically improve my suspension without spending too much money.

In that case... find a set of used, good condition coilovers from a Japanese auto importer and then get bushings along with it. You should be able to find good condition used coilovers for around US$700.

when you add the word "Drastically" you just put the price through the roof....
HOWEVER.. in USD... a set of springs (racing beat, Eibach, Ect.) will run you around 240 bucks.... you can get AGX's off ebay for around 340 a set... thats about 580 Bux...
Then, Save up another $100 and get Racing Beat F&R Sway Bars.
so for about 800 there's your major stuff...
You'll also want to replace your suspension bushings... less than 100 bux, and will tighten the suspension up (don't forget the grease if you go Poly.... or it'll squeak like a banshee)
Finally... TIRES... I don't care WHAT kind of suspension Gizmos you have.... Tires are EVERYTHING... I have Kuhmo MX's.. they are Very Good, but not great... There are much better tires out there... but, at a higher price also!!!
