Everyone with CCW's and an FD please post pics :).....
I'm doing the planning stages on my FD project car which will essentially be a streetable track oriented car. I know I want 18x10 CCW's for the track and am actually trying to decide on the color I want to paint my car. The engine will be pulled soon so I can prep and paint the engine bay so I'm stuck on silver, '99 RZ gunmetal grey, black, and a few other colors.
Would you guys that have these wheels mind posting some pics of your cars and maybe the color and color code if it is non factory? I've seen quite a few setups like this online but having them all on one post would be great.
In addition please list your size rims and brand/size tires.
Is an 18x10 out back with Hoosier DOT slick enuf grip to put down 450rwhp/425rwtq effectively? I'm not sure if I should go with an 18x12 wheel out back or not....
Can you post your argument for 17's vs. 18's.....? I have AP 13" brakes and like the 285/30/18 tire height.... 17's seem to be quite a bit taller. I'm still trying to decide which would be better to go with.
Lots of ?'s.... but it would be great to have as many of them answered in 1 post by those that have first hand experience or knowledge.
Thanks in advance,
-Mark

Well, this set isn't technically mine, I was borrowing them that particular weekend. These belong to a friend (WVRx7) he had his track wheels on his FD, so we put his street wheels on mine. 17x9.5 front, 17x10 rear. My car is also at the stock ride height, still haven't installed my Eibach springs yet.
Oh, and I'm currently saving for a set myself, they look stunning on my car I think.

Heres a pair of CCW's doing what theyre suppsoed to do.
I needed a tire BADLY one day at the track, so I used a pair off my 3000GTvr4 race project.
Wow, cured that oversteer problem!

Good luck with the project Mark. I havent had a chance to put in the suspension since I've got other problems right now with an injector not getting voltage. Thanks for the deal and I'll be sure to contact you if I need help/advice.

I checked out Alex's (alwan) FD and his CCW's.... those black anodized centers do look good.
I don't understand why people don't like the look of these rims.... I dig em.
I've been trying to post some pics of other ones I've found but this damn server...... won't let me upload them.
Keep em coming.... I saw a silver one with black anodized centers that I thought looked really good. It was an autoX car I believe from WA.
Stan- your car will be like day and night with the new coilovers. PM me if you want for the alignment settings I ran.

The newer version are a lot better looking. If you compare the pics I posted to "Section8's", you should notice that CCW enlarged the centers (notice how much thinner the lips are?) and it improves the aesthetics of the wheel.

On my car:
http://www.enuttage.com/CCW
17x9.5F
17x10R
Went with 17s 'cause they were lighter and IMO fit the car's aesthetic a lil' better.
Tires: 255/40/17F, 275/40/17R Kumho MXs, which I love, BTW, and which grip extremely well for their price point. I'd say they're *very* comparable to S-02s.
