looking for a set of brake pads equivalent to hp plus

 

HP+ can be ordered anywhere, or is there something else desired from the friction material the HP+ isn't providing?

 

What do you need from a brake pad? How much are you willing to spend on pads?

 

i just need the pads asap.

i like the feel of HP+

just no one has them in stock =/

 

are the stoptech street performance anywhere close to having as good of bite as HP plus?

 

Try the Endless SS-Y pads. A little more expensive, but will go above and beyond the HP+

There are several pads out there in the range of the HP+ pads. If you do a search, you'll find many people over the years asking similar questions to get away from the dust. Some options other than what MX5 listed:

Porterfield R4S
Carbotech Bobcat
Carbotech AX6 (if you are doing more autoX competing)

 

You probably heard a lot about Endless since Miata_mx5 works for them. They have a lot of pad options, so I'm sure there is one which would fit that bill. I don't have any experience with them so I'm not much help there.

Do the Spirit R brakes use the same pad size as the stock brakes? If so, RX7.com has Bonez pads which pretty much fit your description. I use them for street pads myself. I'll probably migrate over to Carbotech Bobcats once the Bonez are done. I run Carbotechs (XP's) on my M3 for the track and love them.

 

Pads are identical for standard FD calipers and S-R calipers

 

ebc reds are great, last longer on tracks than hp+ and less dust.
