Does anyone have the Enkei RP02 or Enkei RS5 on a second generation RX7.

I would go Enkei RPM2. They're lighter and look sick as hell. These I do have for a FC. In 17's they weigh 17 lbs and come staggered 17,8 and 17,9. Now they only cost $850.00 shipped but since you're in CANADA, DHL will charge around $150.00 to transport with all the duties and such. That's just an estimate though.

If you're interested in seeing this wheel e-mail me autornd@hotmail.com. I'll forward you a pic. I have a
couple sets in stock.

Rishie

With the other rims you've designated they might not be available in staggered fitments. Worst off they'll only be 7.5 inches wide or less.

I don't want them staggered, it's just for looks. So I was thinking of getting a 17X7 all the way around. How much would the rp02 or rs5 be? Is this with tires? Also I'm guessing you don't have pictures of these.

I wouldn't do it as they will be quite far into the rear fender. It will look very awkward. You should use a 7.5" rim with a +35 offset in the rear to even look, in my opinion, normal. I'd suggest getting an 8" width front and rear with a +35 to a +42 tops when picking wheels larger than 16" in diameter.

I have had several FC's and know their fitments quite well. If you do the +40 or higher offset in a 7" width it will not look right. You can acheive an expensive luxurious look without having to spend a lot of money. You can get 17.8 front and rear with a 225/45/17 or Nitto 225/40/17's for looks and slammed if you'd really desire. Then you can rotate.

I'd be more than happy to walk you through your potential decisions. Whatever you decide on we'll provide you with club pricing. However being in Canada it may not benefit you. We'll see.

See ya, Rishie

The RP02 I have to reference. I don't recall seeing them as yet. THe RS5 I have seen and do offer. I just haven't seen great fitments for the FC. A rear wheel drive car. You're picking cars for a front wheel drive fitment.

So you think I should be going with an 8" rim all around. Just to let you know, I have an 86' base model RX7. Not sure if the fitment is different than on the turbos or not. And right now I have the 14", 4X114.3 wheels on. I thought that 8" rim would be way too big. My next question then is what tire size should I go with? People have suggested 215 max for mine, wouldn't 225 be out further than the fender and cause rubbing when I lower it. Also why is there a difference fitting wheels seeing that it's a rear wheel drive car?

Personally I think you should listen to ARD T2, don't with 17x7 or 17x.5's. Get either 17x8's all the way around or staggerd 17x8, 17x9, you'll be much happier with looks, and performance. And the cost won't be that much more.

I would definatly like to get the 225/40R17. It's 0.1" smaller than my tire on there right now. That's the closest suggestion I've gotten. I'm up for getting an 8" rim too. Just want to make sure there will be absolutely no rubbing the wheel wells, even when I lower the car a couple inches.

Sorry to keep bugging you guys, but how much difference will going with an 8" rim compared to a 7" rim be? I only ask this because the RS5 only comes in a 17X7 size. If I go with the RP02 then I can get the 17X8. Should I just forget about the RS5 because it's only 7" wide?

**** that boltpattern is going to be a bitch to match. I understand your dilemna now. I think you should go into the second gen forum and ask for a lug conversion so you can go 5 lug with the bigger brakes and 4 piston calipers.

that would be the best mod in the world. then your wheel options open wide up. Plus you can get stuff that will actually enhance the vehicles appearance and value.

Rishie

Int'l taxes are a major PITA.
