Eibach Springs?
The search function is down right now, sorry.
I have a chance to buy some Eibach Springs for about $70.00.
They are listed as 49/97 and 23/98 (two each), whatever that means. Supposedly these will lower the car about an inch and "improve" handling. I do mostly street driving but also do some road race events.
A. Is this a good deal, and
B. Are these the right size, etc. for an FD (do they come in a variety of sizes/sprung weights?
Any and all feedback is appreciated.
David

Eibach only makes one set of springs for the FD--the Pro Kit, which gives a drop of an inch. You can go to Eibach.com to check the part number. That's a great deal, and I think you should jump on it if they are indeed FD springs.
I've dropped my FD much more than an inch w/my Tanabe coilovers, and am very happy with it. I say go for it....you'll love the difference in looks and handling. When I saw my dad's R1 w/stock ride height a while back, it looked ridiculous to me. I'm so used to seeing my 7; his looked like a lifted monster truck or something .

Thanks Goodfella:
Sounds like I'll jump on it..........was a little concerned the everyday driving might suffer a little with a stiffer ride but what the hey...............probably make going in those sweepers a little more "calm" at 100mph........
David
Any additional comments are welcome from anybody.

Well, they cost me a little more than I thought. I didn't want to mention it here, but they were on ebay. Didn't want to get too many people involved thus driving the price up.
The bidding was around $65 when I posted, with little or no interest it seemed, but you never know. I figured that since new these are listed everywhere for between 230 and 299, I would be willing to pay up to say 160 for a "good deal".
Turns out the reserve price was $149.99 and that's what I got em for. Oh well, JDHUEGEL you STOLE yours...........good job. You're prob as happy as TWO clams.
Now on to my next auction.
Thanks for the feedback. Seems like it's a good $150 spent.

I also checked with EIBACH; these are the exact ones for the FD. The guy said to I could buy em from TireRack.....about $268 plus shipping.

I have the Eibach Pro-Kit installed. I love it. They are progressive springs so the harder you turn the harder they get. Handling was much more improved when I installed mine, it was one of the most noticeable changes I have done to my car.
Add in that you get the height drop, and it's win-win all the way around.
I also got much less wheel hop when taking off...
Good luck!
