Eibach or Racing beat springs (FD)?

I'm going to be installing new Tokico Iluminas and a set of lowering springs, along with new strut mounts on my FD....what's the concensus here between the Racing Beat/Suspension Specialties springs and the Eibach Pro-kit?

Also, if anyone has recommendation for different struts rather than the Tokicos, please let me know!

Thanks

I have Eibachs w/ Tockico shocks. They are great on the street--that's not pothole ridden. Never been on a track yet, but if Howard Coleman likes something, it's probably safe to assume it's good for you The only thing I don't like is that the springs lower the front of the car a bit more than the rear.

First off, the FD has "shocks", not "struts".

Next, Racing Beat springs look nice but are too loosely sprung for their drop. This is the reason you don't see many people using them today as many years ago, people had rubbing issues with them and aftermarket wheels. They are fine for the stock wheels, but going with larger wheels or a more aggressive fitment will definitely reveal their issues.

I would recommend either Koni or Tokico shocks. If you have the money, get Koni's. If not, Tokicos are just fine. After that, look at the RSR Down Springs. They have a spring rate similar to the Eibach's with a little better stance given to the car.

See, I like that stance. Makes the car look a little bit more aggressive that way.

It looks like the RSR Down Springs are much lower, huh? These aren't the RP “Super Down” Springs that I've seen on RX7.com, are they? I was told that those look good, but are a horrible ride.

How's the ride on the RSR downs compared to the Eibachs? I see that they're the least expensive of the bunch of competitors...does that have any significance?

They have almost the same spring rates. However, ride quality is more dictated by the dampers rather than the springs.
