DTSS bushing

Once again I swear by the factory bushings. The swith backs of turn 8a to 9 at Infinion was more than managable at over 85 mph and I have nothing to thank but DTSS system. I know it sounds egotistic but by now I have not heard of any one else enter drifts in 4th gear at over 100mph but my self in a FC in U.S. Please correct me if I am wrong.

i dunno about those.. i just put in the eliminators in my car. I havent really had a chance to race on it yet, but i did take it for a spin and i did notice a change. The rear of the car seemed to talk to me a bit more. before, at the edge of traction, it would kinda leave you guessing, you get use to it and think no big deal... but since i had to change my rear wheel bearings i thought id put the eliminators in. I drove my car and went around a turn and let the back come out, it seemed like i could tell exactly where the rear was and what it was doing... so far i like it better! I have an Auto-X comming up next weekend at the tirerack in indiana. Im hopeing to go to that if i can get my front calipers rebuilt in time... totaly locked up due to rust from the previous owner!

BTW: it seemed the rubber on those bushings was ok at 63,000miles in my 1990 rx-7

I do agree it is way more precise with solid bushing and the rotation of the car can be controlled much better. However for drifting it is more stable when the car is sideway a lot.

I just ran that Tire Rack event and i have to say that the car is best with out those bushings, even when going really sideways at high speeds, the car just comes back naturally. I dont think you were feeling the bushings working... since they come on at .4 G's (Says Grassroots motorsport) and im sure you were pulling more then .4 G's so the bushings were allready 'done'

I think the difference between the cars with eliminated toe bushing and ones that are factory is not so much at during sideways on full throttle. I feel the difference is mainly during off throttle and how the toe changes along with how much torque load on the wheels. This is my theory. The benefit of factory bushing is from the toe change during on and off throttle and braking. Toe in occurs when braking is applied and that is when I need stability the most. Under full torque load and coming out in a drift is not that important, just about any car will drift out of a turn. FCs with toe eliminator bushing comes out about the same, but seems very unstable and difficult to modulate rotation with steering wheel when in drift under braking or very light throttle. Another thing is if the car is loosing rotation and when the lateral G dips under that .4 area with toe out a lift off the throttle or a light tap on brakes will induce rotation, but with toe eliminator bushing it usually goes right into under steer. Once again this is my theory and under the condition described, your driving habit and condition may be different.
