well, i bought a extra pair of FD wheels and am in the market for some drag radials. i cant make up my mind between the BFG's and the nittos. i got jeg's catelog the other day and was checking out my options. which should i go with: BFG 255/50r16 or the nitto 555R 245/50r16. also, what about slicks? what is the most common tire size to use? my car is not with me so i cant go out and measure my diameter.

i have tokico illuminas and eibachs so i think the size might be an issue. does anyone have experience with a similar set up and can tell me if the tires will rub?

also, if someone knows where a better price on them can be found, i'd appreciate it

i purchased my BFG drags 255/50/16 for about 126 each. I believe they are cheaper then the nittos and they are much better/stickier drag radials. Of course i think the nittos last a lil bit longer.

I cruise on the street with my BFGs. Of course i dont go too far. i got my yokohama advans for that but i find i have no traction with them in anything lower then mid 3rd gear on low boost. i remeber on a cold day i broke the tires loose at about 90 in 4th gear.

 

BFGs are good, ET Streets are better. Also the Streets are less likeley to have wheel hop, as you will not spin them

 

BFG Drags....some of the fastest drag cars use them.

thanks. right now i have toyo proxess fz4 and they do alright after 2nd gear with my 60-1. i want to hook up- i ran a 12.1 at 123. kinda wondering how it will be like after the t-66 is on there.
