Drag radials

Drag radials
So I recently picked up a set of inexpensive 17" wheels with plans of throwing on a set of drag radials on my FD. Drag racing isnt really my thing and not what my car was set up for by any means, but its what most of my friends are into so thought I would at least make a showing for a few weekends and just have some fun, and didnt want to wear out my RS3s. I cant go any smaller than 17" because of my brakes or I would have just ran the stock 16" wheels. But anyway, I know the most common setup for radials is the M/T ET streets. In a 275/40r17 they are about $226 each. Tirerack sells a Toyp Proxes TQ drag radial for about $170 each, and in the middle at about $190 is the Nitto Nt05R. Does anyone have any experience with either of these, or would you think I would really notice much difference? Being Im not really all that serious about it anyway Im leaning toward the cheaper ones just to save the $100 or so.

Google the comparo. They may be the same tire as Nitto and Toyo have some type of corporate relationship or possibly same parent company.
Fwiw I currently have the BFG drag radial 275/35/18 and I pull 1.8 60ft without doing a burnout. I also drive them on the street. I don't run alot of miles as its a 3rd car but it grips.
I wouldn't drive in the rain on these or any drag radial except for maybe the Nitto 555R. Drag radials are fairly dangerous in any amount of rain.
You have been warned.
