Drag Lites
has anyone tried putting skinnies(ie 15x3.5) on the front and 15x8 or 9 inthe rear on a turbo II.if so what size tires in the front.and do turbo II's stand up to he punishment of mickey thompsons et street or et slicks in the rear?any feed back is greatly appriciated

yes the do fit but the front is tricky..Most of teh 3.5s have the 1 and some odd back spacing..There is a 2 and some odd spec but im not sure if they will fit..In order to run them on the front you still need to run a spacer to clear the calipers and still have to shave them a little....Alternatives would be wheels from centerline or looking at welds new xp line of wheels..Supposedly they are able to clear the calipers on late model cars better..Aas for the rear a 26X8.5 tire and 15X8 works fine..By pulling the front sway bar and running a full slick out back we have had 600 HP+ SBCs hook with no trouble..My 790 HP sbc hooked with some wheelspin..
If you want to go biiger then 9's or 10's would be better but the problem is that there isnt really a wider tire that you could run to really utilize the wheel..I have combatted this by LCA notching and running carrera coil overs but then your talking fabrication inorder to fit a 27 or 28X10.5..Not really needed with teh cars wonderful suspension when the swap bar is pulled from the front..
