89-91 Stock ABS System
I would like to remove my stock ABS system on my 89-91 TII. Can I remove the pump located by where the main computer harness goes through the fire wall... and not have anything bad happen to the braking system, like it not working properly? I have already removed the fuse but that's not the same as removing the pump from the system and opening it up to the atmosphere.
If not, what do I have to do to switch the brakes over to a non-ABS system...without swapping stock brakes from a non-ABS stock rx-7. Do I have to just plug the hard lines coming out of the wheel wells?
My future goals are to go to an aftermarket braking system, but I wanted to wait on it until next winter. I'll be switching over the rotors, calipers...everything. In the meantime, I need to remove the pump to make room for my coils off a TEC 1 system...that's why it needs to be done now.
