Dont quite understand Rolling Fenders?

Ok. I just installed some new shoes about 2 weeks ago

the front wheels fit pretty wide

17x8 inch with +30 offset and 235/40R tires (Gramlight 57Pro)

I want to drop the car with Tein springs or Eibach..i want it REALLY low the problem

- with the stock wheels i noticed the faces were about a few mm sunk-in from the fender lip on each side so if i had dropped the car low the wheels could actually fit inside the fender and have room to go UP into the fender curve

with these new wheels the tire is almost directly inline with the lip of the fender..theres no way it would have room to go up into the fender..its almost as if the tire would probably hit the fender itself if i tried to drop the car 1.4 inches! or even 1 inch (eibach)

what do i do about this? They car looks good with the kicked out front wheels but how does the rolling of fender work? Does rolling the fender allow the wheel to be tucked inside?

Those wheels have way too low of an offset...but will probably be ok with just rolling the fenders. Rolling the fenders is a very easy concept to understand, you are just flattening the horizontal lip up against the inside of the fender. It's really just best to have a body shop do it to minimize paint damage. They usually only charge a small fee for doing this.

FC or FD? on FC's, +30 with a 235 tire is just fine. I ran those for a year without rolling the fenders, lowered on tokico springs. if anything, you'll have to fold in the inner lip on the front fenders, depending on how much camber you have.
FD... no idea
also, 235/40/17 is a smaller diameter than stock, so you can go a little lower before things start rubbing

what everyone else said
if its an old car i wouldn't worry about the paint, because its probably messed up anyway.

take out the fender liner if you have one.
then, clean off the inner surface of the lip. don't want dirt stuck in there!
in the front, heat up the fender with a propane torch and hammer to the lip, using your hand on the outside of the fender to keep it up buckling outwards.
in the rear i heated up the fender with a propane torch and stuck a metal pipe between the tire and the lip, and then rolled the car backwards.
rinse and repeat untill finished. then i scuffed up what was left, primer and paint.

its actually quite easy and pretty hard to screw up.
but i am a law student, so:
disclaimer: i take no responsibility for any mistakes/problems you encounter by using the above stated methodology.

so any more prediction on what will happen if i drop the car any lower with 17x8 +30 on the front..i mean if the car were to go down completely to the ground the tires would barely fit inside the fenders and rub along the lib and i definately wouldnt be able to steer....rolling can fix this? how much clearance could i possibily gain by rolling?

That tire and offset should fit fine. I ran 17x8 +35 in the front with a 245 tire with stock fenders, unrolled and with the fender liners.
