does anyone have 17x8 wheels 5x114.3 w/ either +35 or +47 offset on an fc?

My car is a 1991 coupe (na) and it comes stock with 15x6 rims, 5x114.3 bolt pattern and +40mm offset. Would an offset of 35mm or 47mm on 17x8 rims be good or bad? Would I be able to steer all the way to lock or would the bigger tires scrap against the wheel wells? Do larger rims affect the speedometer? If there are possible problems I can compromise with 16x7, 5x114.3, 40mm offset and still get the same rims (dr-31 white) but larger tires always look better. Perhaps I could do 16x7 in the front and 17x8 in the rear, appreciate any info!

If you have the stock type front struts and springs (not coilovers) and have not rolled your front fenders, you are going to need a 30mm offset front 8.0" rim and most likely a 225/45-17 tire. If your rims have more offset than that, you will need to look into a set of spacers and longer studs. The rear fitment is open to a lot more choices especially if you are looking for a staggered setup.

17x8+35 is what you want. with 225/45/17s it'll fit fine on any suspension. that's what I had on the front of mine for a while. +47 won't fit.
