Do you run these tires?

Hows it goin? I am looking for a new set of tires for my '91 coupe. I am sticking with the stock wheels due to financial issues. I need a new set of tires for the summer. I only drive my car april/may thru october. I am a spirited driver and love the handling of my RX. They will be used for mostly street driving but I like to push my car and performance is number one priority. I have been looking and only found a few V rated tires in the stock 205/60/15 size.
- BFG g-force sport
- Toyo Proxes TPT
Both tires are close in price, Im just wondering if anyone runs these tires on thier 7's? Also any feedback or suggestions on other tires do tell! Thanks

I've been diggin on the BF Goodrichs...They seem to grip well and still maintain a decent lifespan.

oh by the way i would suggest going with a 55 profile, it will help with the roll and its not to much of a difference in profile that it will not look weird. if you need to see what it looks like go to http://www.myspace.com/slammedchevy1500 Good luck.

toyo tpt's have 1 problem after a while of use the out side edges get choppy and have to be replaced after a while. I work at a tire place and cars the have those tires come in all the time saying that there tires are rideing ruff and then they end up buying another set of tpt's. I have nothing bad or good to say about the bfg's not alot of cars use those tires around me.

the g-force sports are nice but they are not SUPER grippy I had them on a civic they look nice seems to perform well but I dont think would have made a great auto X tire.. I think they have a 320 treadwear as I have sumitumos at 200 and they are like 60 a pop for them on www.tirerack.com

I run BFG g-force sports on my car. I like them. They grip pretty good IMO. They are NOT the stickiest out there, that's for sure, but for the price they are good.

I was thinking about changing to a 55 profile but its not reccommended to change your tire aspects by more than three percent and changing to a 55 profile is like three and a half. Does anyone else us a 55 profile on thier stock rims?

i wouldn't buy the bridgestone potenzas. A buddy of mine had them on his 350z and they sucked...and I have them on my Scion tC and they suck.

I personally like my nitto 455's, but they were for the 16" rim.

I'd take the BFGs, proxes are some of the most over-rated tires I have ever driven on. Some of the Kumhos are not too bad either, I like the MXs

Proxes are a great tire, but they wear VERY fast.

If you street the car much, go with the BFG's, you'll go through the Toyo's sitting in a drive thru almost.

FOR THE SARCASM IMPAIRED THE DRIVE THRU COMMENT WAS A JOKE ALTHOUGH THE TIRES WEAR QUICKLY.

I run Kumho Ecsta ASX tires on the street (they are acceptable traction for a street tire.)

I run BF Goodrich comp t/a R1 slicks at autoX events (they stick a little better than the Kumhos.)

By the way, Ford probe rims work very well on RX7s and they are cheap. (That is what I use.)
