Dead TEIN coilovers?

OK, I don't think i can stand it anymore so might aswell share it with u guys.
Everytime i drive my FD, there's always this annoying sound...mmm...like a thumping noise from the car's rear suspension when i pas unlevel roads, small potholes, big potholes, etc. My assumption is that the noise come from the rear left suspension. I might be wrong...might even be both rear suspensions.
It's really killing me coz it makes the car well...not bumpy but more to harsh than any other 'old cars' suspension i've tried
The car's RHD,'92 Japspec. Got it about a month ago along with the tein coilovers (dunno how old the TEIN has been there for). Could it possibly be the TEIN coilovers dead? Any chance of rebuilding them? Or any other factor?

pls help

A complete rebuild with shaft is about ~120.00 a corner, 60.00 if the shaft is OK. Tein USA, Downey Ca.
