cutting rear bump stops for 3rd gen - s tech spring install

on installing my rear springs it requires cutting .8 inches or a type A cut, how is tht gonna happen without cutting the boot off as well in the process since the boot and bump stop are one piece

I just got some s-tech springs, still have to install them. I just looked over the instructions and noticed the same thing: you have to chop off about 1/2 of the length of the bump rubber according the their instructions... any comments, experience to offer

I've used 4 different brands of springs on my car with the same set of new, untouched upper shock mounts. Never had a problem.

Never tried the Teins though.

Hi guys,

I got these installed yesterday, I asked my mech to cut the boots as per the instructions but apparently he did not. I hope this will not tear them appart.

One question: are your stech so compressed in the front that the first 4 coils are touching each others??
