Correct offset?
i have 17x9 plus 45 with 245 front and 17 x 9.5 plus 40 rear with 275. the fitment is good. however i had to roll the rear fenders very slightly. but appearance wise its pretty ideal if u ask me. they say u can do 265 in rear with no rolling. one thing though 275 40 tires have a pretty tall sidewall which i dont love. goodfellas mentioned this to me and its stuck in my head. he was right.
i got enkei rpf1s. they are very lite and pretty mild setup aestically for us older guys. i really recommend them. great fd fitments.

My wheels are 17x8 and 17x9, both +35. I bought them for my old FC and kept the wheels when I sold it and bought the FD. Never rubbed, but I DO have coilover suspension.
Pick a different wheel or follow the steps below.
What wheel is it anyway?
Don't do 8" in the rear. It's not worth wasting the money.
Since you're in Socal and Torrance of all places just get your rear fenders rolled nicely. Should only cost you about $80.00.
Get the 17x8 +32 front with a 225/45/17 and the 17x9.5 +30 rear with a 255/40/17. If you don't want to roll the rears you can do the 9 +35 with the same tire size and no fender mods.
Do a minor roll on the rear fender and for the front fender simply take the fender liner bolt at the center of the fender arch and put it behind the tab. Fold the tab back towards the fender and tie it together with a ziptie. Use a rubber vaccuum hose to put over the ziptie so it doensn't tear through the hole in the plastic fender liner.

I think you can make them work in the rear, but in the front not sure it's possible unless you run like a 215 width tire on it

If you want to rotate just make it simple on yourself and buy the infamous
RPF1 17x9 +45 offset. Then you can run 255/40/17 all the way around on stock fenders and have a very balanced, lightweight setup.

I wanted Rota Torque's or Rota Torque Drift (not available in U.S.) so.. I guess I'm going to settle for some matt black 5zigens 17x8 in the front ...17x9 in the rear

Right.... if you want 8 inch width, the stock wheels make great track wheels (assuming you don't have a BBK).
17x8,9 is fine but you may want to consider 17x9 +45ish offset with 255/40 front and rear, it's a popular track setup and gives a wider contact patch for increased braking ability. You also can rotate them as a bonus to improve treadlife.

Also keep in mind that the stock wheels are known to crack when using stickier tires (even the so called reinforced ones). Personally, I'd recommend not using the stock rims with anything stickier than a street tire. However even today, the street tires are getting darn close to what r-compounds used to be. While I do use the stock wheels currently, I plan to change them out for safety reasons.
Offset varies on width.
So +35 in a 12" wide wheel won't fit, but +35 in a 9" wide wheel will fit in the rear.
AS FOR FN01RC, THEY ARE NOT CONCAVE UNLESS YOU RUN 10" WIDE.
BEST FN01RC SETUP WOULD BE 17X9 +43
