i have the tanabe pro ss coilovers and they are great on the strret and the track. the ss evolutions are supposed to be sick though, they have automatic programmable electronic adjustments for speed and acceleration. im looking at getting those now even with only like 3k miles on my new ones.

MazdaSpeed coilovers are just rebadged KYB coilovers. If you are looking for a true coilover set up for the track, and track only, why not look into the Ohlins, Quantum, or Aragosta? You definately get what you pay for. If you want an intermediate coilover though, and want to grow with, do check out the Zeal line of coilovers. I own a set of Function X, and they are tops!

I've never driven another car that compares to the performance of the FC with the zero-2s. The handling limit is almost scary, yet the ride in the city is nowhere near bone jarring.

Get some Zeals, just plain amazing. I've got Gabs on my FC, and the are great, but way to short and the ride is a tad harsh on bigger bumps. I rode in a car with Zeal B6s, turned up to 25/30 (I think), they still rode better than my Gabs, but were just as solid.

One more guy that loves Zeal. I rode in Rishie(ARDT2'S) RX-8 on Zeals and they are NICE. I had JIC FLTA-2s on my old car and the difference between them and Rishie's Zeals is amazing. The ride comfort of the Zeals is unreal and from what I hear, they're insane on the track too.

Also, "rebuildable" is a good thing. All that means is if you ever have a problem with the coilover, you can get parts and have them serviced. JICs are NOT rebuildable, so if one beginns to leak fluid, your only option is to buy a new one for big bucks. With Zeal, for instance, you can send in your parts fand they'll service them for you. Much cheaper.

Zeals for FD hard spring rates should be showing up next week. I'll be posting the ad this weekend as a Xmas special.
