Sounds like the spring wasn't preloaded.

i'm not even mentioning the upper pillow ball mount binding problem.
They fixed this problem for free.

also in the rear the strut casing was rubbing on trailing arm.....
Its my understanding other coilovers suffer from this same problem.

It sounds like it was all user error.

My Flexes don't rub. I don't think this is a common problem.

sorry but it's never for free, because it takes TIME to remove the bad pillow ball mounts and install new ones.

the springs had preload set, the entire car was corner balanced and it handled like a dream, despite all CLUNKING, RUBBING AND BINDING, the car was very stable and predictable in 3rd gear. i could rotate the car with minimal steering correction at 70mph plus.

fyi, i owned and track abused few coilover setups. HR's, HE's, d2s, koni v GC and all kinds of other combos.

it only SOUNDS TO YOU like user error.

It may not be "free" through your eyes, but atleast they adressed the problem.

Did you ever fix the pillowball? If you didn't, that could be the reason they "fell apart". Why? Because now you are asking the seals to do double time, vertical and twisting motion that they probably weren't designed to do. It would also explain the clunking, rubbing, and binding that you where hearing.

So if you didn't replace the pillowballs, then I will still call it user error/neglect. If you did, then I'd like to where they came loose at.

point is one person has had a bad set of Stances. i havnt heard of any others, personally, so you may have just got a bad set, or maybe you got yours back when they first came out?
they're pretty well proven by now, so it would seem any issues from back in the day have been resolved.
also, my tein flex's do rub the trailing arm. but who cares. a little paint comes off..

Did you use the washers? It'll also depend on how much camber you're running if it rubs or not. If you've got more camber, it's more likely to rub.

Whether or not they deal with a failure in the absolute best way possible, it shouldn't happen in the first place and I'd still be dissatisfied with the experience.

Shopping for parts f-ing sucks when you have SOOOOOOO many options and outside opinions.

I take it stance is good with their warranty, China coilovers are hit or miss and when people buy "real" coilovers that only cost around $300-500 more they say their new coilovers were "night and day" to the old ones. Still dont know enough about the bc's to make a decision other than the price, the design and that they cater to drifting well from ONE review of them being used on a full track fc. They look beefy as f*ck!

please,

stop acting like you know more about my problem than myself.

the pillow ball mounts loosened up completely after few weeks of driving and were perfectly fine after that.

the shock fell apart after half a year or so.

as others said, this is bad experience with stance

when you pay $1380 you expect something more

(only for 90FC's information, im experienced and well paid auto repair technician. i can observe, diagnose and repair suspension, engine, electrical and any other related problems just fine, thank you for your concern)

Sorry if I'm coming off that way, I'm not trying to be a know it all. To me your just not explaining your problem(s) very well.

the pillow ball mounts loosened up completely after few weeks of driving and were perfectly fine after that.
Why did you complain about it, if it fixed itself?

the shock fell apart after half a year or so.
I'd still like to know what you mean by fell apart.

Why didn't you try to have them fixed under warranty, or did you?

as others said, this is bad experience with stance

I think all of us are going to have a problem with a product at least once in our life, its apart of life. But the way your making it sound, you haven't even given Stance a chance to fix the problems.

I'm not trying to hurt anyones feelings or make anyone look bad. I'm just looking for a simple explanation is all.

Thank you.

I run the stance gr+ coilovers. They're great for the money (got them through AutoRnd). A bit rough with the 9/7 spring rate, but bearable.

This is my only suspension mod besides DTSS eliminators, and they're great for drifting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG7gPbUPBoY Here's a video. I'm in the white FC.

being that the BC's are on sale again for the holidays.. that makes them definitely a choice, but from those compared to the stances are pretty similar in looks and performance.... id have a chat with the dealer in this thread http://forum.teamfc3s.org/showthread.php?t=55531 and see what he can do as far as warranty/ customer service for future issues and why u should go with those instead of stances...(see how much of a salesman he really is lol)

hell, i might shoot the guya message myself

keep us posted
