Thumbs up Coilovers

Hi i have a set of tein coilover on my car, I want to do some height adjustment but I have forgot do I hold the bottom perch and turn the top or hold the top perch and turn the lower perch. of course the adjustment start at the botton of the coilover where the two perch are together.

oh yeah, is it necessary to take the wheel out before adjustment, i will jack up the car of course

do you have the height adjustable ones or are you using the preload to lower the car?

The top 2 perches are locked where preload is set. I wouldn't touch that, unless you need to.
Loosen the last perch on the bottom, take your coilover wrench and lower/higher the car using the locked perches. it will move up or down unless maxed out.

when you say the locked perches, are you refering to the bottom second to the last perch?

thanks, is it easier to take out the wheel to do it or is not necessary.

to do it properly, you must remove the wheel and remove at least the mounting point on the bottom of the coilover. Adjust ride height and bolt back together. take it around the block a few times to settle the preload/spring.

they are recommending taking the wheel off just because its a bitch to turn the shock body with all that weight on it. if you can muscle it at the weird angle, then you're the man.
i know i have to use two hands to adjust mine with the wheel off.
