You haven't given much to go on. What are you doing with the car? What's your prospective budget? Have you ridden in a RX7 of your model with coilovers??

circuit track, that's what I'm planning to do! I have ridden with a FD with HKS coilover on it but it's setup for drag racing. My budget is around $1500, any suggestions?? apexi N1, HKS hipermax, Tien, JIC please give some advise on above suspensions or any experience

thanks

There's been dozens of threads about the merits of different systems. Look here:

Thumbs up

I have Tanabe Sustec Pro SS Coilovers. Ride height adjustable (interlocking collars) and 4 way adjustment for stiffness. If you're looking at circuit track, I highly recommend them. On the Motorsport Ranch roadrace course near Fort Worth the difference between my setup and a stock FD suspension is unreal. I'm very happy with them.

bananaFD: How much are you planning to spend? Personally, I like Zeal (www.endlessusa.com). I've seen your car...so I think I know what you may be looking for...

Unless you want to do a special order from Japan for ones like Aragosta...

Will you be driving this vehicle on the street or want it to be setup just for track?

Well since strictly track use I too would recommend using the Aluminum Casing Super Function 6 ZEal model. This is a phenomenal setup for your purposes. 100% made in Japan, DVS piston - floating piston, monotube, independent preload and ride height.

It can be custom built for you as well. This is what we will be using on our roadrace widebodied FC.

Contact me for pricing. The best street track compromise I've experienced so far is the JIC. However Zeal as the B2 which is pretty cheap for a monotube entry level coilover. I'd be interested in seeing how that rides. Only time will tell.

Just as a note, the Zeal coilovers can also be ordered w/ a custom spring rate, but for the most part,...the standard spring is plenty for most people.

The finish and quality of the Zeal coilover is VERY VERY nice!!!! You can tell just by looking at them. (I'm not joking).

I have also been looking in to the Zeal systems, particularly the function B6. Based on the research I have done thus far it looks like the best thing out there for the price range I'm looking at. (under 2K) Still waiting for a price quote from Rishie.

You should go with the HKS Hipermax II's. I say that because that's what I've got, and I want to think I'm right.
