Coilover question...

Hey guys,

What does it mean when the coilover's dampning adjustment on top of the shock tower just keeps turning and turning?? The right side stops when fully soft, but the left side just keeps turning..?

Just looking for a quick answer.

Thanks,

=Ben

It depends on the shock. In most cases it means that the shock has bottomed out very very hard and the adjuster rod that travels down from the external adjuster **** or nut, has broken off from the internal valve or shim pack or piston orifaces.

If it is a KYB or that type, the little plastic **** could be stripped and the adjuster is just fine internally. You will just need to find a new tool to adjust the shock.

Let us know the shock type and somebody should be able to help.
