Coil Over Problem?

I have just fitted a set of Bilstien Coil overs to my T2, the ft tyres seem to be rubbing on them? even though the Stock struts used to clear the Tyres.

Could i have fitted them to the wrong sides (ie if they where handed?),Wrong ofsets on the wheels (that are 18"x8 with 225/40/18's on) or possably the wrong struts for my car?

Are Gen 2's suspension all basicly the same?

Thanks.

The problem Grizz is that the lower spring perch is likely hitting the inner rim lip. Unfortunately that can't be helped unless you get a coilover that allows you to lower the vehicle independently of the spring preload.

You probably have it right. That's just how they are sometimes.

Sorry, Rishie

What is the best way of sorting it? Could i fit a spacer to the rim?

From what i can see the rim protector on the Tyre seems to just be catching the spring platform (as you say) it needs to move max of 10mm? (the problem is i dont have the ft planels fitted at the moment so i cant see if i have 10mm to play with?)

you could try a spacer if you want. you also might have to get longer wheel studs.
