you probably wont find a wheel that has a huge lip on it at a cheap price because the wheel will most likely be a one-piece. if you are looking for a clean mesh looking wheel i would look at the Speedy, Mashie. it looks like a 3-piece and you can get a good looking lip on them. 5zigen also has some wheels that have huge lips on them. i believe you could find these wheels for about 120-150 per wheel.

How much can you spend with tires? I have some wheels coming shortly. But want to know your budget with tires first.

Thanks, Rishie

1250 with tires for the FD. In all honesty you should wait. Don't make any hasty decisions or mistakes that will get you a low quality wheel or one that is meant for FWD. lol. Please save up closer to 1500 and then you have some one piece options but doubt you'll get the lip you want.

There is an ADR wheel that's cheap and fat lipped but i would frown on putting this wheel on the FD. your car is too good for it. Please be patient.

5zigen has a wheel called the "typhoon" i believe that you could get in 17x9 and it has a fairly large lip. they also have the "5zr corpse" and the fno1rc. ill try to post pics.

Wait and save your money. Put your money on reliability mods, and have a stash of cash for when the car breaks...

Yeah, I was going to mention that a Captains salary can't afford Fikses, it takes lots of luck too

Of course when he gets home and has a real job I am sure he will be keeping the "best" parts that he replaces on others' cars for himself.

I don't know how the paperwork is drawn up but Rich is certainly a big part. Now I am sure the other Gotham guys would point out that while they were busting butt getting the shop open, Rich was playing in the sand

Hm, interesting. How much do you think an Army Captain makes a month, Mr. Bottorff?

drink? bar?

I heard that.... I think I already owe him a truckload though...

ON topic: for the most part any wheel that has a wide lip is not going to be cheap. Find the wheels you want and save up for 'em.. You'll be much happier than just getting "some" wheels on your car and regretting it later.

Yes, I am indeed co-owner . From what I've seen, Fikse doesn't give much of a discount to anyone. And I cannot wait to enjoy a cold frosty

The typhoon will give you a decent lip. You ahve to remember that the FD in general uses a high offset, limiting the depth of your lip.

There's several variable involved when trying to acheive a lip so let me know if you like the copse or typhoon.

I have no idea but I certainly hope it's less than what you'll be able to make when you get home, Mr. Ferrell.

No military guy has ever lead me to believe he was truly "well off". I didn't figure that put you in the typical demographics of Fikse owners

Keep in mind that "Cap" is a US Army Captain, 24/7; being in the military ain't a 7 am to 4 pm day job...keep up the good work over there, Cap, and find those damned, "weapons of mass destruction" will ya!! Yeah, Fikse's a bit snobbish when it comes to pricing. They have this aire of superiority about them. I wonder if pro race teams have to buy their wheels from Fikse (LOL ) ?

......tryin to get back on track

I saw 2 rx7s at the NE Rotorfest with Borbet Type T wheels, they had a solid 2-3" lip on them and i know that they are an inexpensive wheel. (damn heavy though)
