CHEAP: 18x9.5 +50 FD Wheels OMG!!!

Hey guys,

Had a NSX client actually forward this link to me for his car and then realized OMG these are damn cheap. they are probably not lightweight but they are cheap.

Check it out.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...=Car%2FMinivan

At $165.00 that's crazy. And that's retail. If I order a good qty i can probably get these at a better price. But whatevers, doesn't matter to me. Just thought i'd post specs on these wheels. not too bad looking either and should clear some decent sized brakes.

Peace, Rishie

From the link:

"Available to fit a wide array of trucks and SUVs."

"Car/Minivan"

Absolutely no info on the Liquid Metal website other than pics.

Dollars to doughnuts says they are plain steel.

Hi highly doubt they are steel. These are made for light trucks. I'm sure it's an alloy but am waiting to get a call back from them.

"alloy" does not mean "aluminum"

I don't think i said aluminum anywhere? I'm confused Damon but I totally agree with you. lol. Are there really that many pure aluminum wheels out there?

Alloy does not mean plain steel either right?

Man those suckers never called me back. I'll try again tomorrow.

No way 40lbs, but even 25lbs would be sketchy. However I do believe these will be mid 20lbs range.

Thanks, Rishie

I thought you were inferring it. You said:

You doubt they're steel, but are sure it's an alloy. There are hundreds of steel alloys Just because it's an alloy doesn't mean it's not steel.

Ya totally, but pure steel wouldn't be called an alloy right. It would be called a steel wheel. Alloy would be a mixture of metals. hehe.

We all mean the same thing, it's just semantics. I hate semantics.

Good find, I've been planning on putting something very similar from MB Motoring on my FD this spring. They are right around the same cost per wheel.
