Cheap 17x9 wheels?

I'm currently running stock wheels with R-compound tires for auto-x. Since Kuhmo V700 tire price doesn't seem to go up much with larger sizes and my current tires are worn out I'm thinking about getting some 17x9 wheels to replace the stockers.

Anything out there come to mind in a 17x9" wheel with the proper offset to fit the front and rear. Inexpensive and somewhat light wheels are required, I have FM-5s for the street.

Let me think about it. The hard thing is the offset. I'll see what I can find and get back to you on Tuesday. i'm off to a car show in LA.

Later, Rishie

while you're at it Rishie, do you know if the 10.5" Volk CE28N's will work with the FD? Offsets?

Thanks

SSR Integral A2s in 45 mm offset all the way around. I happen to have a set of 5, but they're in use. I don't believe Tire Rack sells them anymore. The next best SSR in 9 x 17 45 mm offset are the GT1s. They're 5, double spoke style. Check with ttb. He has a set also with 255/40-17 AVS I's. You can go with 255/40-17 Kumho V700s.

The only offset choice that will work for CE28N is the 45 mm offset for the rears. You'll need to roll the rear fender lips for extra assurance of clearance. 285/30-18 tire size on 10.5 x 18 should be fine. The fender lip rolling is extra insurance if you you're car rides lower than 1.25 inches from the stock ride height.

Yeah I've seen you post that before. I had some SSR Integrals, AKA A2s. Problem was I had 17x8 in front and 17x9 in the rear. I also still have a brand new A2 in 17x9 in the box (anyone interested in buying it?). Can't get them new anymore so I was stuck. I just needed ONE 17x9.

I'll check pricing on the GT1s, I was hoping to get something for less than $250/ea. Spending $1K+ on race only wheels in getting spendy for me, especially since the stockers work pretty well.

I might be send me a PM regarding pricing and where you're shipping from. I presume it's a silver one, not white or polished??
