Polishing Rims?

Hi,

I have just seen a car in a cars park near me that has ither very shiny Polished Alloy rims or Crome plated?

I have to admit it looked like a coating on them as it seemed chiped on the edge of one.

Can Aluminium be Crome Plated?

Thanks.

Chris.

Yes aluminum can be chrome plated. i dont know what kind of car you saw with polished or chromed rims. Howver, I do know that you can find chromed and/or polished 3rd gems rims for sale frequently on this forum. Chromed rims are more often for sale than the polished ones. In fact, I just bought a set of polished stock 3rd gen wheels and I love them. Later.

Get them polished. Chrome plating adds weight, and the chrome plating flakes off eventually.
