Cheap 17's that are wide to fit on the FD?

Im looking for some average weight 17s that are wide, that will fit on the FD. A friend of mine suggest Konig's not sure if their any good, but the reason I want to jump in size is because I want more width.
Thanks Links and Pics will help.

konig's are heavy and weak... i suggest enkei rims, they are susually light weight and reasonably priced

I dont think you can really get a "cheap" 17" or 18" rim that is wider the 8". It seemed when i was looking around anything larger then that would only be in the more expensive brands. But also the word cheap is dependent on the spender so that will change things a bit.

The cheapest I seen a 18" that will fit our cars is from www.wheelmax.com They have a package for 18x 8.5 and 18x 9.5 with tires for $1500. I don't remember the brand but they look good to be replicas. There is a member that has some here. Once you find the brand do a seach and you will find him.

Heavy, yes, but weak? Where did you get that from? A heavy wheel, by virtue of being robust is usually strong!

Also, look into 5Zigen's FN01R-C. They're lightweight, come in 9" and 10" widths and cost about $250/wheel.

Motegi makes several models in 17's. I bought a brand new set with Nitto 205/45/17 on Ebay for $250 shipped. They look great on my 84 GLS-SE.

You want to shell out the cash for authentic mazdaspeed body parts, but don't want to spend money on wheels? lol

Anyway, the 5Zigen FN01R-C's are lightweight and fairly cheap. I love the way they look and they will be on my car when I get tired of the stockers.

I have relatives in Japan that can help me pay REAL price not over-exploit price for MS parts here. Plus the MS parts are not anytime soon, I plan to do some track driving with my car in the near future and want more tread.

i recently got a set of enkei RPM2s.

they are 17x8 and 17x9, weigh about 17lbs? thats just a little more than stock. the wheels are black in color and hide brake dust very well.

run close to 200 a wheel, not bad.

if you are on a tight budget and looking for some track only wheels, MKIV supra wheels will fit with a small spacer in the rear. You can find em on the supraforums for about $500 for the set. NOTE: YOu will need to get the hub centers machined out to 67.1mm for the 7 hub, the supra hub center is like 44mm.

*(I have pics of them on my car but will need Mahjik to post em if he comes across this thread, I know he has pics of them)

I have not idea, but they dosn't slow RTS3GEN down at all. Nobody is still able to run him down on the track unless it's a GT race prepped Viper.

I need to go out there sometime and watch you guys.

BTW- There are a variety of Ford Mustang wheels that are 17", wide, and pretty cheap.

Yes there are, but the offsets are usually too small for our cars.

Sorry for the delay, thanks, the supra wheels are heavy, but, they were the right price! I paid 5 hundy for all 4 in perfect shape and 100bucks to have the centers machined out to fit the FD perfectly. I am running Hoosier R3S03 R compounds all around with 275/40 out back and 245/40 up front. HOwever, this spring I'll be going back to Victoracers or somethinng a little more affordable, the hoosiers lasted 3 event weekends, whereas my victoracers lasted almost 3 full summers! About 10 track events.
BTW, thanks for postinng the pics Kyle, and don't overproject my car's ability to wipe up on the expensive machinery out there!
