camber confusion FD
camber confusion FD
I've been reading a number of threads about adjusting camber and they're all a little over my head, or I'm just not getting it. My suspension set up is tein s.techs and koni yellows (top perch all around). I've noticed that my rear tires are really angled in at the top. I'm looking to get some 245s for my stock rims and I really don't want to run right thru them. Not to mention it doesn't look right having them sinking in at the top. Can someone please explain. Thanks in advance.

the tire is supposed to angle in at the top. most if not all cars run a little bit of negative camber stock
when you get an alignment you can either tell them to align it to factory specifications or specify your own alignment setting. it sounds like you'd be fine with a stock or near stock setting.
the shop will do their best to set the car to whatever you've specified. sometimes aftermarket parts are required to align a car to spec after lowering.

It is hard to adjust for low rear negative chamber on the FD for running large rear tires like my 275/40-17. My car is lowered about 1" and the lowest rear chamber that I can get is about -1.3 degrees.
